LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (7News) — More than 70 high schoolers got a chance to immerse themselves in the healthcare field during the "Job For A Day" program at Inova Loudoun Hospital.
The Loudoun County Public Schools Business Partnership works with 50 businesses, allowing the 11th and 12th graders a firsthand experience in multiple career fields and specific jobs. Inova Loudoun is in its 21st year participating in the program, and the demand for hospital shadowing is so popular, that two days are needed.

The students got to follow doctors, nurses, techs, therapists, and even a chaplain at the Leesburg, Virginia hospital.
While most of these students are interested in a healthcare career, they were introduced to jobs they didn't know about, like wound care and radiation oncology.
“I have zero experience but I got to see what’s it like," said Allyson Zavala of Heritage High School. “I’m thinking about pursuing and working here after I graduate.”

It was a chance for each department to share what they do and encourage the juniors and seniors.
“I want to be a pediatric nurse," said Rebekah Lee of Dominion High School. “This is a good chance and opportunity to shadow someone and learn about my future dream.”
