A 15-year-old is dead and another teen is injured in a crash involving a stolen car in Prince George's County Friday afternoon, sources tell 7News.

At around 12:35 p.m., Prince George's County Police officers responded to reports of a two-car crash on Piscataway Road in Clinton, Maryland. Upon their arrival, officers found two teenagers in one of the cars. The driver, one of the teenagers, was pronounced dead on the scene, according to police.

Police have identified the driver as 15-year-old Shaun Shelton of Accokeek, Maryland. The other teenager sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the other car, an adult male, was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police said Shelton was driving the Kia Sedona minivan in the wrong direction in the southbound lane of Piscataway Road when he collided head-on with the pickup truck. The minivan had been reported stolen earlier in the day out of Charles County.

The investigation is still ongoing and officials are on scene attempting to find the cause of the collision. They are asking anyone with information click here to contact the Prince George's County Crime Solvers.
