Go-Go Music gets a mobile and permanent place in DC music history

Community Leader, Activist, and Entrepreneur, Ronald L. Moten sat down with Britt Waters to discuss the latest on plans to recognize Go-Go Music in a big way here in the district.

Groundbreaking is set to begin on the Go-Go Museum in Historic Anacostia on Wednesday, November 14th. Moten also announced the Mobile Go-Go Museum.

The Mobile GO-GO Museum is a converted 28-passenger mobile bus with a Hydraulic performance stage on its Rooftop. Inside, the bus has a pop-out DJ Booth as well as

Historic Exhibits, and a Hologram of GO-GO legend, Anwan “Big G” Glover. The GO-GO Museum in Historic Anacostia is set to open in the Spring of 2024.

The unveiling and groundbreaking are set to take place, on Wednesday, November 15th at noon at 1920 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, S.E..
